Finally, a decision!

Well, I forgot that scene 14 in Mother In-Law Zombie is about 6 minutes long with 93 shots, and scene 15 is about the same length with 113 shots. Scene 15 also includes the plate throwing sequence, which is, as predicted, causing me problems and taking a while to finish. So, while I didn't finish up MILZ, I did manage to fix scenes 11 and 12, and finish scenes 13 and 14.

After talking to Tracey and Steve, I've also decided what to do for Hondance, and will begin working on that tonight. I'll be showing blocks of 2 or 3 scenes from each section. These will be some of the best scenes from each section that don't require an extensive setup to understand. Interspersed between each section's scenes will be some of the zombie commercials. This should run about 35 minutes, which will be a good length, I think.

So, now I need to tighten up the scenes, touch up the dialogue tracks, add sound fx, and write and record any necessary music. With less than two weeks to go, it seems like a lot, but I don't think it'll be a problem getting it done in time.

Thursday night The Dirty Marmaduke Flute Squad plays at The Mojo Room. Come see us! I'll be playing "The Beavis", an instrumental guitar song I wrote, and will also be thrashing the electronic drums in my tux as usual.

Hey Ryan, Diette here, just wondering if there was anyway we could just see the teaser and not have to stay for the rest without paying $12 at Hondance.

Hi Diette!

Unfortunately, there's no way to see it without getting the full ticket. Last time we had the festival, we found that most people just wanted to buy the evening pass. So we thought we'd open the festival with something that people would really want to see so that they'd buy the full day pass. And since this is a fundraiser for The Top Floor, we're really hoping to sell a lot of tickets for them!

However, the trailer is online, so you can see that for free, and you'll also be getting a free ticket to the premiere at The Charles, which will probably be in late September/early October.

Hope all is well with you. I still laugh every time I watch your "You're an asshole!" line.

Thanks,
Ryan
